OUR STORY

In the heart of Moki Gray, there has always pulsed the beauty of nature, the elegance of art, and the soul-stirring depth of poetry. In every moment of Moki Gray's existence, there has throbbed the timeless beauty of nature—a continuous heartbeat reminding us of the world's effortless grace and the raw, pure foundations of love.

As we transition to Moki Gray Weddings, this pulse becomes a symphony—louder, richer, and more profound—echoing through every facet of our brand evolution.

Our journey began as a tender sapling in the vast garden of matrimony, nurtured by the passion for creating idyllic moments that celebrate love.

As we grew, so did our canvas, blooming with the diversity of every unique love story we helped to paint. We learned to find the symphony in color, the rhythm in texture, and the harmony in space — turning each wedding into a masterpiece that resonates with the essence of the couples we serve.

Now, as we unveil our new emblem, we're turning a page to a fresh chapter, replete with the whispers of the forest and the strokes of a painter's brush. Our new logo is an ode to the artistic dance of the leaves, the timeless beauty of blossoms, and the enduring strength of the trees. Each curve in our wreath is a verse from an unwritten poem, each flower a silent lyric in the ballad of betrothal.

The logo embodies our belief that every wedding, like every piece of art, should be a reflection of individuality and emotion. We drew upon the tranquil greens of nature, the bold strokes of modern art, and the timeless allure of poetry to create a symbol that stands for growth, beauty, and the weaving of stories into the tapestry of memories.

As Moki Gray Weddings steps into this refreshed identity, we bring with us the essence of nature's own renewals, the boldness of avant-garde artistry, and the tender touch of love verses whispered under the moonlit sky. Our commitment is to continue crafting your special day not just as an event but as a living, breathing work of art that celebrates the poetry of your unique love.

With hearts full of hope and eyes set on the horizons of tomorrow, we invite you to join us in this natural, artful, and poetic evolution. Together, let us create weddings that are not just seen and felt but ones that truly resonate with the timeless whisper of the world's beauty.

From the gentle dawn of our existence, Moki Gray has stood as a beacon of design and style, where the elegance of nature, the inspiration of art, and the beauty of poetry converge to celebrate the union of souls. With each season, our story unfolded like a bloom in nature's vast canvas, each petal a testament to our growth and each scent a memoir of our creative journey.

Our original name, Moki Gray, was a seed sown with intention, rooted in the organic simplicity of love’s design. It echoed the hues of dawn and dusk — the artist's perfect light where every color whispers into another. It held within it the silence between the poet’s verses — the profound pause where true understanding germinates.

As we evolved, our branches extended towards the warmth of the sun, our vision deepened by the hues of human emotion, and our purpose clarified by the myriad forms of love we witnessed. Thus, the natural metamorphosis from Moki Gray to Moki Gray Weddings was not just a change in name, but a blooming forth of our identity, rich with intention and beauty.

'Moki Gray Weddings' encapsulates the fuller spectrum of our services, enveloping the essence of marital harmony in every nuance. It speaks directly to the hearts seeking to entwine their stories within the tapestry of eternity. This name honors the sacred trust placed in us to style not just a venue, but the very atmosphere where two hearts beat as one.

In our new logo, the wreath, ever-circular like the rings exchanged as eternal vows, embraces the everlasting cycle of life and love. Its elements are curated from the earth’s artistry — the gentle lines drawn by willow branches against the sky, the soft textures of moss on ancient oak, and the delicate silhouettes of petals falling to the poet’s feet.

This change is more than aesthetic; it's a promise bound in the same nature-inspired motifs that form our artistry's core. Moki Gray Weddings is both a dedication and an invitation — a dedication to crafting celestial matrimonies touched by the artistry of the natural world, and an invitation to couples who seek to find in their union the echo of art and the rhythm of the Earth’s eternal poem.

As the new day waxes into fullness, we are humbled and excited to step into the light as Moki Gray Weddings, carrying with us the legacy of Moki Gray and the infinite inspirations of the world around us. Join us, as together, we cultivate moments that transcend the ordinary — transforming love stories into legacies written under the sky’s vast mural, whispered through the leaves, and celebrated in the heart’s silent knowing.

Creative director and owner, Moksha Magdalene Alfonso (aka Moki) believes and feels that her works are illustrations of her life experiences. Her creations are best described as a tapestry of nature, art and poetry. Art and poetry had been a great influence to her as she started very young. She met her first love at the age of five, when she began painting and drawing. While other little girls would play with their Barbie dolls, she'd sit down in a corner and draw.

Growing up,
Moki had written a number of short stories, poems and even songs mostly out of frustration. It was because of this same frustration that she started blogging about home decors and DIYs, which had become the key to creating her blog, Moki Gray.

It was year 2012 when she started blogging about her DIYs and home decor ideas, until one bride came across her blog and asked her to do a wedding project. The rest is history.

Today,
Moki Gray is known for her unusual styling techniques; her love for vintage and time-worn beauties that brings an old world feeling to her creations. She uses flowers true to their natural form as possible and veers away with the traditional flower techniques. She opened an art studio in the South called The Moki Gray Cottage; a humble studio in the South for artists, writers, and poets.

Inspired by nature, art, and poetry indeed, Moksha has bigger dreams and aim to build something bigger, "I feel I am so much blessed with the talents that I wanted to share. It is my way of giving back. I dream big for
Moki Gray because it will give more work opportunities, inspire people and make a difference," she shared.

I N S P I R A T I O N

Growing up, I had lived in different cities, suburbs and the countryside. I fell in love with the rural life or the country living. I felt that people were more relaxed, family oriented and close to nature. My childhood was quite an adventure and a fairy tale. It was like a modern Cinderella story, with a twist.

I spent most of my days drawing, daydreaming, organizing and cleaning the house, daydreaming, writing, daydreaming, reading, daydreaming, reading. I had a bucket list written in my head and surprisingly followed by the heart. I once read a quote in one section of Inquirer newspaper, “You are never given a dream without also being given the power to make it come true.” I have never forgotten about that quote ever since.

If you were born somewhere between the 80s and 90s, you would understand the importance of daily newspaper, encyclopedia and know how to use the library. When I was a child, I loved to read. There were times when I read about the universe, learning about the stars and constellations made me imagine myself as an astronaut. And there were times when I read about fairy tales and Shakespeare stories. No wonder why I have a penchant for vintage and time-worn beauties. I was inspired by the aesthetic of the castles, forests, cottages of the fairy tale books. I was fascinated with the old-world charm setting and mystery of Wizard of Oz, Secret Garden, Romeo and Juliet to name a few. I would say I am an old soul trapped in modern times.

If I am to tell more of my stories, it will take a day or two, or maybe a lifetime. I will leave the rest to you to get to know me more as a person. I am leaving this here because I want my clients to know a little bit of who I am as Moksha Magdalene aka Moki. Looking forward to meeting you and who knows our paths would cross.
